EGO continuum
There is a teaching by J Krishnamurti. The EGO continuum. If you desire something you don’t just need to make effort to get it but also keep Ego unchanged to enjoy it. But Ego is changing every second.
Also you desire anything to be happy which necessitates unhappy. You desire something when you are already unhappy and it makes you more unhappy.
So what is the way out.
Asha param dukh. Nirasha param sukh.
Hope- It is said that hope springs eternal and it confuses a lot of people including me.
Hope is a word used when or if you have desire. No desire no need for hope. So is it desire or hope which one is the culprit. It’s hope !!
What !!
If you think desire creates hope you are thinking very microscopically. You desire for happiness but if you study it enough you will realise that till you have desire you will never be happy. But more importantly it’s the greatest untruth or false hope that may be there is a desire that can make you happy.
So what is hope !!
It is chance or probability of something happening but devoid of emotions. Totally logical or mathematical. Never loose hope is a tricky expression. Some thing will never happen so why not loose hope. It is said in context of something human and not mechanical in relationship with the truth. Love in simple terms. Not biological but an inexpressible love for something not definable that we name as truth for convenience. For that love or truth hope springs eternal but still in a way not defying logic but some unknown probability.
No hope – If no hope means I don’t care instead of the popular notion that is- not gonna happen then No hope is not so bad is it. Infact it is happiness.
Ok now stop. See are you chasing something. Why ? For happiness or love. If happiness then update your neurons with this fact that it the greatest stupidity the world is entangled in. Understand that’s enough.
If love then no problem do whatever you think necessary or worthy. But have no hope meaning you don’t care about the result. But don’t be stupid. In fact check that if you are doing stupid you are not truly loving. Don’t be stupid..it means do it but still with common sense and law of probablity because it is also a gift from the love you are chasing. How can you ignore the gift from your love.
Karo wo jo karna chahiye. Na ki jo iksha ho.
When having desire is ruled out then the motivation for any action can only be to stop others as well. Yes that’s the only thing you will find worthy doing.

These are then two Engineering and Biological options but the main drive is to stop others as well.
But we have created a society that honours the servant but has forgotten the gift. It is very hard to convince people just by saying you should stop and you are doing it all wrong without unfavorable consequences. These are just legal tools. Environmental activism or Animal Rights is a byproduct hobby of the original work of trying and succeeding to stop as many as you can. It is because you start seeing something unseen before in the world beyond people and peoples Agendas because you change the very people and their agendas.
Nirmamo bhava
Worldly love affair is good. I am not against it but it’s another job. If you are ready no problem but more importantly do you think of it as a job. A mother would say yes and she is right also but just as in job you don’t or cannot ask for more than you signed for because it’s not possible in a job so no matter how much you try and it applies to all relation actually, it’s waste of resources both physical and mental. That is what meant by Nirmam.
Why such a strong word. Because of our tendencies otherwise what I described above is also fine. But since it’s not followed events like Mahabharat takes place.
Types of Dukh (Grief)
There are three types.
Adi bhautik – Material insufficiency
Adi devik – Luck insufficiency
Adhyatmik – Self knowledge insufficiency
Actually solving the third one is enough. But because of conditioning the first two becomes a mile stone before third can be addressed. How much Money or Luck is sufficient is not known without knowing who you are. That’s why it is very important to teach this branch of knowledge first to the kids in school. But the condition is not so at all.
