Today I am feeling like teaching. So in this post I will explain Buddhist teachings.
Buddha’s Four Noble Truths and Twelve Nidanas (Pratityasamutpada) are the fundamental principles of Buddhism. Both of them are meant to explain the suffering in life, its cause, and the path to liberation from it. Let us first understand the Four Noble Truths and then the Twelve Nidanas in detail.

In his first sermon (धर्मचक्र प्रवर्तन), Lord Buddha gave four noble truths:
(Dukkha)
Life in this world is full of sorrow in itself. Birth, old age, illness, death – all these are sorrows. → “Birth is sorrow, death is sorrow, separation from the beloved is sorrow, union with the unloved is sorrow.”
(Cause of Suffering – Samudaya)
(Sensual desires),
(Desire to be alive),
विभव तृष्णा (Desire for material possession)।
(Cessation of Suffering – Nirodha)
If craving is eliminated, suffering can end. This is nirvana – the state of ultimate peace.
(Path to End Suffering – Marga)

(Eightfold Path)
Right view
Right thought
Right speech
Right action
Right livelihood
Right effort
Right mindfulness
Right concentration
(Twelve Nidanas / Pratityasamutpada)
This is the principle of ‘pratityasamutpada’, which means: “All things arise by virtue of cause and effect.” This is the process of explaining the cycle of life and suffering (samsara).

Following 2 are in past
(Dualistic existence)
(Biological condition)
Following 8 are formed in womb
(Development of consciousness)
(Development of I in womb)
(Development of senses)
(Contact of sense with its subject creates meaning)
(Experiencing happiness and sorrow)
8. तृष्णा (इच्छा) – सुख की चाह ( It grows irrespective of whether it gets fulfilled or not)
(Trishna getting deeper and stronger)
Following 2 are in future
(Desire To get out of womb and consume incessantly)
(Consider oneself as born instead of process to keep consuming)
(Old age and death)
So if desire is the weak link in the path of freedom from suffering, then performing actions by keeping desire away is called nishkam karma. Ashtanga marg is Buddhist word for it.
Incompleteness which can be fulfilled from outside is the basic untruth.
The basic nature is Anand. So if you search for it in anything else, you will only get sadness.
The guide for right karma that leads to freedom from dukh is not happiness but true dharma which requires Guts. No pun intended.
To be or not to be. That is the Question.
