Why will 8000 individual get imprisoned for 4-5 years in a 300 acre land.
And on top of it pay the jailor to keep them inside.
There is strength in numbers if the flow is streamline. Same tag, Same goals, Same IQ etc.
And there is nothing outside.
You only find that which you first find inside.
So it is very natural to invest in inside for much higher return outside.
But the backbone is the Research. It is research that creates those high paying Jobs.
But same thing applies.
No reasearch inside is like looking for fish in the sky.
You are not missing the secret. You are missing the obvious.
Tax is collected from generals to fund the research.
Then the tax is taxed as fee from RS for the infrastructure.
Why not minus the fee from stipend beforehand from RS?

I saw about 350 Crore was from Govt and 45 Crore from fees. So Govt is still the major investor.
So basically free food, shelter, and safety for about 8 months for masters. The rest 4 months is mostly spent at home.
So masters have no incentive from institute for research. It’s a show off.
Just the promise of expensive corporate labour job. That too in CS ECE domain only.
Phd do have some incentive. 200 K approx along with free food,shelter, safety and infrastructure.
And still Phds copy code from M-techs.
If Iit ians are not interested in post Graduation in own country for country’s sake what can I say to tier 2,3,4 college students.
The least utilised is the infrastructure.
Um I am thinking like how justice can be done to both.
For not doing real research.
For being excessively casual towards the illiterate undergrads. Specially Labs.
If coming to basic electronics lab and don’t even know formula of time constant of RC circuit you are not exactly Einstein 🤔.
We blame the govt for not investing in R and D. How much can one expect with meagre less than 1% on researchers who are toppers from the last.
And on top of it there is a total disconnect in education and politics or economy.
I mean it is just a one way or simplex communication. Without feedback they will behave stupidly.
Just imagine. Can you?
I see only one solution.
Boycott laptops or PC. It will save at least 40000.
Leave it for work from home. Empty CC just saddens me.
Use the infrastructure. Fully utilize it.
Love people, use things. The opposite never works.
Collaborate, not co-operate.
