Cockroaches are of two types broadly speaking.
The house Cockroaches and the ones found in wild. House ones really have no ecological benefit.
They survive on waste, filth and dead matter and multiply like humans.
Humans create waste, filth and dead matter and multiply like cockroaches. Which one is more useless if I/We see are humans only.
Cockroaches are nocturnal.
They cannot withstand light. But CJP is nothing like it.
If Cockroaches are gone from our house maximum affect on the ecology will be..I don’t think anything will change. Infact our houses will be more clean and safe from deaseases.
But firstly why are they found in houses when wild was quite sufficient. Just as jungle was quite sufficient for humans. But we wanted more safety and comfort so we stepped out of Jungle.
It seems cockroaches also were motivated by same instinct and followed humans. For us the whole environment instead of just jungle became the ecosystem. For them our house.
Now the rich want to go to space leaving the poor on Earth to die. The poor and the unlucky are Cockroaches for them.
How much Perception change can help
We humans are masters of perception but we don’t use it enough. If we change our perception towards cockroaches what you think will happen.
Despite being challenging the perception change will not only change us but also the cockroaches. They will after sometime probably leave our house for their original home or go extinct as Shit cannot turn to Gold without recycling.
But we will also not be like before. At present we are worse than cockroaches. They are scavengers and can survive on just about anything. We are fragile and want more and more refined and garnished food made by exploiting the ecosystem as much as possible.
JFYI all industrial production is a carbon footprint because it requires energy and energy requires fuel and fuel releases Carbon dioxide.
The change in us due to perception change of cockroaches will turn us into better cockroaches ie the Forest dwelling one who contribute to ecosystem in all ways. To soil giving Nitrogen. To Birds and reptiles as food. And also removing the organic waste.
Population control
All Pests except the wild cockroaches are only population controlling agents. But their use farly outweighs their nuisance. Infact I should say they are comparatively very ineffective against humans. Can we make them more efficient.
I think just as human passes point of no return the peaceful method that is change of perception becomes waste of time compared to its benefit of reduction in destruction. Simple Geeta Stuff.
Killing anything is easy or difficult based on the public perception. Well not easy as in the effort required to kill it but minimising self harm.
If society thinks something is bad then you can very easily become encounter specialist by killing it. Something still dies within us as well but biologically unhealthy . Biology which is the ideology that the body has a choice makes us safe to kill pests or wild dangerous animals. Safe from society.
To kill our own may be safe with respect to society but emotionally so challenging that it is like a physical assault on self. But most of the times it is our own we need to eliminate. Idea is to eliminate within the rules of the society of the time. I/We might think then direct action like Mahabharat is best. It was best only in its time because even battles were fought within rules. Arjun was so skilled he could exactly predict eliminating everybody because nobody will break the basic rules that were established in that era. If you see it this way the Kauravas were really vipreet buddhi (Self destructing) don’t you think. The most challenging part was the decision for which Krishna gave the whole lecture on Geeta.
The decision itself is very difficult but more difficulty comes post elimination. Our own body revolt against us refusing to produce the delusional good emotions we relied on previously. May be till now we have given everything else more priority than exterminating pests from the world. Pest which are not pleasant for the eyes or contact.
But if it were someone threatening to us macroscopically like foreign nation we would immediately gather against it. We interpreted Geeta the wrong way. It’s not external fight at all but internal.
Humans are animals. We seek pleasure and avoid pain. Pest control when not required immediately like when situation really aggravates is more pain than pleasure. We never think why the hell have we been so empathetic to pests for so long even when we kept on getting better equipped.
Today We can however use psychology. But don’t get excited. It is a solution but a very mature one because it will only work if you are apathetic or it will become self destructive.
Infact it may be very not enjoyable at all. Like cleaning a gutter. How I felt doing whatever I was doing in IIT G. Picturing it like waging a war is totally misleading.
Now let’s talk about CJP
Merely accepting that we are cockroaches is promoting yourself I think because we are worse than house Cockroaches.
It seems harmless on surface but is it really let’s explore. We are glorifying cockroaches to safeguard against meme attacks. Infact we are not glorifying but using cockroach resilience as a ego defence mechanism.
Yes it’s better than nothing but Can you accept you are worse than cockroaches. That will be real promotion and probably itself a milestone step than crowd protests.
Meme war is psychological thing. We are making it group sex.
To break someone lost even without violence should be active and not reactive. Chief justice called you cockroaches. Ofcourse it was projection but a response rather than reaction would have been more thoughtful.
Like yes I am infact worse than cockroach but accepting it makes me better than you atleast. Now this is not ego defence but dissolution. It will motivate you to protest in groups but also individually by planning and organizing your future life to really eliminate cockroaches from the world and yet not feel proud but free from pride or shame. I don’t do shit not because I don’t know but because without perception change it feels like a grave mistake against cockroaches. Being far worse than them and still appearing nothing close to them.
If after perception change it is needed I can happily do it.
